AUTONOMOUS INTERACTIVE SYSTEMS

MEANINGFULNESS | USABILITY | SUSTAINABILITY

About us

Progress in automation and other related technologies – often subsumed under the broad umbrella of artificial intelligence(AI) – will change the way we use and experience technology both on individual and societal levels. The Autonomous Interactive Systems (AIS) group at the University of Siegen researches the interaction between humans and autonomous systems, and its impact in different areas such as workspace, everyday life, and transportation.

Our research yields three objectives: shaping meaningful experiences, fulfilling performance goals, and contributing to social and environmental sustainability through interacting with autonomous systems.
